    Hey-
I just got the Studio Six Decibel meter app for my 2nd Gen itouch. However, it doesn't work. Do I need a separate mic for it to work? Please forgive if this is a stupid question. I'm kinda tech illiterate.

Well, the 2nd Gen Ipod Touch does not come with a mic so you will have to buy a seperate one yourself. I'm pretty sure most headphones work as mics, but only some work as mics on your ipod. I have one pair that does and I can use it in voice memos and my I Am T-Pain app, but one pair that dosn't, but works on my computer. You could try a few sets of headphnes you have lying around to see if it works. If none work, buy an external mic for the 2nd Gen Ipod Touch.
