    Leopard users get snow leopard for 30 buck and tiger users have to pay the usual 129. So how would they know if you have leopard or not? I have leopard on all my macs, but the only install disk I have is the one that came with my new macbook. The others came with tiger (all intel) and I um, used a friends leopard disk on those.

    So will I be able to upgrade those for $29?

    I would like to know this too actually. There isn't any serial number for Leopard that I know of, nothing to register.

    They may have something for you to download like a file then that file sends apple information about your os and then they email or mail you saying you can buy Snow Leopard for $29.00 now! Then they mail you a disk? idk?

    You probably will need Leopard.
    My Leopard was an update disc so it needed Tiger for installation so I'm pretty sure that the Snow Leopard disc will search for Leopard.

    Cool. I guess as long as I can get the update for my macbook I can use that to install it on the rest. As long as they dont start some register/SN bull sh*t.

    Basically, Microsoft. MS really needs to figure out some kind of Family Pack thing. The people who buy those Family Packs of Leopard are truly honest users. Whereas MS... I wonder how much of their market share is pirated.

    95% at most.
    Get that start-up disk with Vista and you're set for life.
    Even though really.
    Who wants Vista over OSX?
    Sigh.
    I really need a Mac -.-;
