Hi guys, Im getting a new iPod Touch 2G next week, and I never found this out with my old one, but (just like with a new mobile phone), do I have to leave it charging for 24 hours before I use it, or do I just need to charge it until the battery is full for the first time?

    Thanx in Advance

I read somewhere. Someone has a Battery Life thing on here. One of the mods I believe. (dont hold me to it) and im PRETTY sure they said you dont have to charge for a full 24 hours because it wont make a difference

no, the battery is lithium-ion which means that it doesn't matter if you dont charge it all the way, but it isnt a good idea to run the battery down to zero... ever, it will cause it to hold less of a charge in the future
