Do Custom Jailbreaks work?

    For windows if i find a 2.0 custom jailbreak and i DFU, shift-click ect... WIll it work?

    You need to have it pwnd first and you dont need DFU to install via itunes.

    No, you don't need to be pwned at all.
    If you're not pwned, you need to be in DFU mode.
    If you are, however, you can use either restore or DFU mode.

    You fail, get your facts straight.

    Actually i couldn't restore in DFU mode with my custom firmware until i used xwinpwn as this hacks the DFU mode to allow custom firmwares.

    as i kept getting an damn error 1606 or something like that i fixed this buy doing the 1.1.4 to 1.2.0 way after pwning it in 1.1.4 then updating to my custom firmware this way worked fine.
