iOS 3.1 Do Apple email you with a recipet when you purchase iPod Touch firmware?

  1. Heya,

So when you purchase an application off the App store, for free or for a price, Apple email you with the reciept for the application, telling how much you paid (either £0.00 or the price it was) etc.

I was just wonder, do Apple do the same when you buy Ipod Touch firmware from itunes, so you can have proof you downloaded it?

    Thanks

Yes, and a couple of days later too.

    Even free ones too.

Oh yeah... Whatever apps you purchased from the App Store (whether freebies, firmware, or paid apps) will have a receipt emailed to you, at least 2-3 days after the sale was concluded...

Nope. Only apps you will get the receipt via email.

    For firmware it's not.

When I bought 2.0 it gave me a receipt for it. I can't remember for 3.0, I don't think they sent me something.
EDIT: Even if they don't. In your iTunes store account, there's a Purchase history thing where all your downloads are.
