    i am downloading the 3.0 firmware and in the folder says: DMG file: size:255MB???' where is the ipsw correct?

    Yes, dmg is a disk image file, similar to ISO, it's used for compression purposes

    You would know that if you had a Mac and signed up for everything.
    Anyways, you have to have a Mac to 'unzip' or unpackage the file.

    i call it MagicISO, it'll extract your .dmg no problem.

    Inside the *.dmg file, there is an IPSW. There you can restore from.

    Hell no. You need to mount that sucker with MacDrive or TransMac. BTW, your device might not even be able to use the Beta. So, tough noogies.
