I actually just wasted about an hour of my time and £7 because I thought that bluetooth would be cool on my iPod.
I thought that I would be able to get songs from my iPod and send them from my phone, but obviously you can't.

Do you think this will ever be possible?

you don't have to.. but for what you want to do with bluetooth.. yeah you'll have to wait for a jailbreak, then a bluetooth hack from a dev. And only then can you have bluetooth file sharing

I'll just downgrade. Will it work though if I download, I don't want to waste my time.

If I remember correctly, the main issue of having bluetooth on previous versions of the ipod OS's was the fact that it was so locked up. I hope that with Apple unlocking bluetooth, that devs will have an easier time enabling file transferring etc.

All i know is it would be awesome to transfer pics from my Kodak V610 to my iPod Touch 2G

I agree with the whole 'bluetooth file sharing dissapointment' thing.. i wont put what i said in another thread about it as i got told off.. but basically i think Apple take the biscuit not allowin full bluetooth access (which is not that new of a technology) on the iphone/itouch..

Bluetooth should be compulsory on all devices/gadgets ect i think.. its like havin a moby without sms!!

Or an iPhone without MMS? Apple used to be one of the first with new technology, now there putting stuff in that will be outdated in a few years time.
