I was thinking. On older versions, you could replace/edit a .plist and the iPod would think it's an iPhone, therefore displaying signal bars. Do you think we can do this on the 4G? It would be so cool, in addition to Phone.app and SMS.app!

For the signal bars, there's a mod on Cydia called "AT&T Bars + 3G Wifi Logo". It replaces your Wifi Bars with "3G" and "iPod" with signal bars and "AT&T".

Yes, I found it but I do not want this. I want them natively. There's gotta be a way.

Doubt it. But you can enable the phone and SMS apps by renaming the iPhone plists to the iPod's in springboard.app. I did it back in 3.x days.

Yes, I know that, I had also edited the N45AP.plist on 3.1.2 and the signal bars were there. Well. the file's gone now, so it's something else we have to look at.

    Just.
The plist is there, I changed but no. I also think we need to edit the Springboard.strings.
