displacing the "time" with some text. without Ericas "banner"

    how can i change the time?

    If you download Skylar's advanced preferences or BossPrefs, it has the option for changing the time to whatever you want it to say, but I think it's based off of the same idea as Erica's banner. I don't know of any manual way of doing it though, so if there's a problem with banner, you may have the same problem with advanced prefs. I'd say give it a try and see if works for you. And you'll also want to check with the latest version of status style, I believe it also has an option for changing the time text as well as the carrier text.

    i dont want to use ANY 3rd party app to replace the "time" i just want to know which file ive to edit

    com.apple.springboard.plist. Of course, that would be the same exact way all the other options change the time text.
