On iTunes I have 283MB of "other" things on my Touch. I heard that it limits you to 300MB for "other" stuff. How can I remove the limit?

try downloading boss tool and moving fonts, ringtones and applications.
that should free up some space.

Is there some sort of command to type in with PuTTY that does it?

Run these in iPhone/iPod in order to move the font folder to second disk, you can free about 100M for third party applications

    /bin/cp -R -p /System/Library/Fonts /private/var/Fonts
    /bin/rm -rf /System/Library/Fonts
    /bin/ln -s /private/var/Fonts /System/Library/Fonts

Run these in iPhone/iPod in order to move the built-in Ringtones folder to second disk.

    /bin/cp -R -p /Library/Ringtones /private/var/Ringtones
    /bin/rm -rf /Library/Ringtones
    /bin/ln -s /private/var/Ringtones /Library/Ringtones

Run these in iPhone/iPod in order to move the built-in Wallpaper folder to second disk.

    /bin/cp -R -p /Library/Wallpaper /private/var/Wallpaper
    /bin/rm -rf /Library/Wallpaper
    /bin/ln -s /private/var/Wallpaper /Library/Wallpaper

Run these in iPhone/iPod in order to move the Apps folder to second disk.

    /bin/cp -R -p /Applications /private/var/stash/Applications.QD0zy1/
    /bin/rm -rf /Applications
    /bin/ln -s /private/var/stash/Applications.QD0zy1/ /Applications

Can I use PuTTY to do it? How can I create a link to link the folders together?

    When I type this command:
    Code:
    /bin/cp -R -p /Applications /private/var/stash/Applications.QD0zy1/
it says it can not create symbolic link because the file does not exist. What happened? Can it be fixed? What does it mean?

    Applications directories vary.
    Execute the following:
    Code:
    ls /var/stash/ | grep Applications

Replace the incorrect name (Applications.QD0zy1) with yours and it should work.
