I was wondering if there were any alternatives to the password lock, because it's very easy for people to see what you're typing.

i was thinking of a normal slide to unlock, that then takes you to a screenshot of your home screen. you then tap on certain areas in the right order, à la iDiscrete, and it loads to the proper homescreen.

anyone who doesn't know the way to unlock would just think the device had frozen, as they would be on an unresponsive homescreen

this would be much more subtle and better than the passcode lock.

i don't know if something like this exists, but now you know the kind of thing i want, is there anything similar?

uhhmmm...i think there is one that shows shapes up and will the places the shapes are changes. like if its traingle square circle circle it might be in the four corners but next time its down the middle and in the bottom right.

Also android lockscreen makes it so u have to draw a pattern.

or you can take a screenshot of your ipod, and make it so the keypad, but it being 320 X 480 it will take up the whole screen ( looks normal )
and if you change the darkness for the pressed and still keep it normal your good to go. The buttons will be the same spot but it should just look like apps.

Or you can use the invisible slider and keypad. Most people won't know what your tapping even if you do it right in front of them.
