Just yesterday I hooked up my ipod touch 8g to my mac and a window to update popped up, I didn't really read it I figured it was an update for itunes, but instead it was an update for my ipod! So then it starts the process of updating and I panicked because I did not want it updated and I quickly pulled out the USB and from there it will not work anymore. It only comes up with "connect to itunes" and my computer does recognize it. I've tried restoring it but it will not work. I've tried using ziphone and that doesn't work either.. I've tried all the resetting with holding the home button and power. It does shut off. Anything I can do?? =/

No =/ It's about a year and a month old. I have it synced with my windows vista. But I plugged it into my mac and did the update thing on there and unplugged the USB immediately.. And I have tried to restore it on my windows and it comes up with an error and will not restore.. =/

I've tried putting it in recovery mode?? Is that the same as DFU? I can put it in recovery mode, and I've tried recovering it but it comes up with an error.. When it comes on its says "connect to Itunes" And I do that and try to recover it and the screen on the ipod just goes blank?

Thanks for the info.. But I've had it in DFU mode.. And when I hit recovery it does something then the screen flickers and the screen goes blank and it comes up with a message telling me that it cannot recover due to some error. =/
