Started with Jailbroken 3.1.3 ipod touch 64gb 3G
Was updating cydia, then it locked up on reloading.
From there, the ipod wouldn't get past the apple logo.
Tried to restore, but got a 'don't like this version' from itunes.
    Restored to 4.0
Downgraded (thank you to the amazing guide) back to 3.1.3
    Re-jailbroke.

Took me about 2hours, given that I'd not done any of it before (except the jailbreak). A few cold sweats that I bricked my ipod, but all is well in ipod land.

Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go have a lie down.

They are really hard to brick unless you drop them in water or physically damage them.

Hey brick about 200,000 more and you my friend will have enough to build a house, or at least put the exterior walls up.
