At different times, my status bar has been disappearing. At first I thought it had to do with SBSettings, but after doing some research, it looks like it is a common bug involving winterboard and certain themes. On an old thread, someone said the fix is to: "go to info.plist and delete this

    <key>StatusBarMode</key>
    <string>(There will be a number here)</string> "

My question is, how do I go about finding this and deleting it?

I have the same problem!! But I solved it by doing what u did
Use iPhone Browser or an SSH program
its in your theme folder which is in Library ---> Theme --> whatever theme you are using ---> info.plist
edit the info.plist and get rid of the code you just showed.
I actually deleted the whole info.plist.

    Precaution:
    - backup ur info.plist (download it into somewhere on ur computer) just in case
if anything screws up just replace the edit one with the original.

Thanks guys. So if I change themes, will I need to do this each time I apply the new theme?

not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure it only when there's a conflicting info.plist. So u'll open need to change it when u see it conflicting. If not I wouldn't worry about it
