Is it possible to disable my sleep button completely? No thanks to BodyGuardz application liquid my sleep button no longer works properly. The sleep button acts erratically and continuously turns my iPod on and off, so i would like to completely disable it.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

It was possible with supreme preferences, but that app is no longer around. I don't know of any other solution.

Well I forgot how the settings are assembled, but if you look around, you can find a toggle that disables the iPod from locking, so nothing locks it. The only way to lock it if you use the SP toggle is to find something in Cydia/Rock that puts on icon on the springboard so when you press it, it locks your iPod.

maybe there's a physical way of disabling it? but there is a risk of damaging other parts, so i don't really want to risk itt.

If i remember correctly from when i dismantled my old ipod, there is just a ribbon that you can disconnect that runs to the power button and volume controls. I don't know what would happen if you did this, but it might be worth it if all else fails.
(Be very careful and take your time if you go the physical route. I killed an ipod doing this)
