Is it possible to remove the gesture associated with spotlight?

Hmmm... I don't quite know, but why would you want to?

I never use Spotlight. The gesture is irritating. Hitting home and having it come up on accident is irritating. Worst feature ever, IMHO.

I've read many threads about this today and it seems to me that the vast majority of people love this feature, but I am not one of those. =)

It will only go to Spotlight when your on the first page and then hitting Home. Else it will always go to the first page.

Indeed. I said 'on accident'. I'm just saying that its irritating to have it come up at all since I never use it for any reason whatsoever.

Well, ok, it should be possible with Mobile Substrate. But i'm not really interested in making an option to delete/disable Spotlight.

Me neither, if you have something like an iNav theme (I see you're not jailbroken though), it looks really... BAD.
