    ipod 4g, 4.1.

    While sometimes useful, i get quite annoyed with having to double click the home button and X'ing the apps.

    Is there a way to disable the multitasking while maintaining full functionality of the ipod? Also, is it possible for sbsettings to get a toggle to turn multitasking on and off?

    I imagine editing the n72ap.plist and getting rid of:
    </key>multitasking<key>
    </true>
    I know that the formatting is wrong, just look for this string and delete it.

    Don't delete it... Just change true to false...

    And yes, formatting was off; but we all know what you mean

    I agree; Apple's multitasking is BS.

    I disabled and installed Backgrounder and Multifl0w. Total control with REAL multitasking. Its perfect!

    When you double click home, it will take you to Facetime instead. You can change this with Activator though. I set it up to show my ipod controls, like my 1st gen did. (I upgraded to a 4th because I lost my 1st gen.)

    is there a way to change what happens, like a different app rather than facetime?

    is it possible this is under "activator" in settings?

    Sorry, I must have edited my last post while you were replying.

    Yes, you can change this setting in Activator.

    It doesn't do anything. I changed the plist n88ap multitasking key to false. Respeonged and nothing happened.

    I then added the key to n72ap and set it tofalse.
    The multitasking options still appear and nothing has changed?
