I never use coverflow in music. In fact, it gets in the way such as when I walk and hold it sideways. Its useless, it just looks cool. And, now that I have a jailbroken ipod, it isnt one of the features I use to show it off anyways...

So, is there a way to disable it?

    no.

....but you could always find a wayoto open up your ipod and find a way to unsolder the accelerometer?

    nah, bad advice.

lol, you got a sense of humor, that will not be a good idea, also there is no way to currently disable it, unless you crack the checksum for the player and remove it from there, uhhhhhh, very unlikely, so just to keep the player normal, lol.

    Cheers,
    Ben.

Yep, I've got the same problem as you, but figured a way out.

Download the Dock from System category
    Tap Music in your Springboard.
Start up a song, then hit the Home button.
Next, get your finger to the bottom right-hand corner, and slide the dock outwards. You'll see an orange icon named iPod (The dock was made for iPhone I believe)
    Select "iPod"
You'll break out back into the Music, but notice that the top bar is black, and if you change volume, a small window-type thingy shows up, showing small bars, like on a Mac.
    Twist your iPod.

    See? No Coverflow.
Yeah, I know that this process does get tedious, but that's about the only thing that can be done...I think.
    Hope this helped!

but i really dont like the dock app because the star thing on the bottom corner bothers me... And, the process does seem tedious like you said. But thanks anyways. Hopefully apple will make coverflow optional, but i definitely wont be expecting it...
