    Hi,

I have IPOD Touch 16 GB.
When I plug-in it in my PC, My iTunes says "iTunes will automaticly check for an update again on 2008-11-14"

I am facing problem with this automatic update. My IPOD went to recovery mode twice due to this and then I was not able to restore and finally got it replaced.

Is there any way to disable that?

    Thanks in Advance.

I'm not sure but take a look around the preferences in iTunes. It doesn't happen to mine. Mine just checks and asks if I would like to download it

There's no way that iTunes checking for an update for your firmware (not even applying it) is forcing your iPod into recovery mode. It's definitely something else.
