This has nothing to do with the serial number.

But when I was shopping for an iPod touch 16 gb online, i noticed different MPNs for it. There are MA623LL/A, MA627ZP/A and MA627C/A. The 1st one was spotted at a US store, the second one at an Australian store and the third one at an European store.

Are there any differences between them?

    Device:
    iPod touch
Another one for the collection: MA627ZD (in Europe)

Maybe they're just to keep track of where they were built (mostly in China anyway

On the back side, you can also find a model number (A1213 here).
