Sorry guys I'm new to this iPod things and I jailbroke the iPod without using Pwnage tool or QuickPwn. I just jailbroke it when the untethered version JUST came out so I didn't use any tools. Nor 24kpwn. So I'm trying to figure out the difference between yell0wsnow and redsn0w... Cuz I don't really understand and all i see is the difference of the sn0w colours. I did try searching but couldn't get a good description. So can someone tell me? thanks.

Yellowsnow is for unlocking the iPhone 3G.
Redsnow is for Jailbreaking the iPod Touch 2G.

Yellowsn0w is for unlocking the carrier lock on 3G iPhones. Not to unlock the phone itself.

it means it allows an iPhone to work with other compatible carriers that use SIM cards instead of being locked into ATT service only.

a phone locked to a single carrier.
