difference between gyroscope and accelerometer?

    Gyroscope uses the earth's gravitational pull to move around a certain way.

    Accelerometre measures 3-axis. Gyroscope measures 6-axis. It just means it's capable of determining where it is from where it was, and how far it had to travel to get there, in all directions.

    all it does is make the ipt4 more "sensitive" to motion. its picks up more movements watch the iphone 4 keynote. it helps.
