I've always wanted to know what is the difference between a GNOME distro and a KDE distro (besides the UI, I have used both kinds of distros). And can you install the same programs from a GNOME distro to a KDE distro? I'm considering to try out Sabayon, but I want to know more about KDE because I've barely spent time around KDE distros.

Me too, now that I googled some info on it. I have tried more GNOME distros over KDE distros.

    I prefer Gnome, as well.

If you want to learn the difference, just open up a Live CD of Kubuntu. That's basically how i learned the difference.

The first Linux Distro I ever used was Ubuntu, so I'm to used to Gnome to switch.

My first distro was Kubuntu, but then I tried out Ubuntu and used that instead.

I like Gnome better than KDE also.
KDE is still buggy on some 3D effects so I dont like to use it.
    Gnome works perfect for me.
Sabayon isn't that great and it is bloated full of useless data
