My apologies if this is listed within the wrong forum...

    What's up everyone?

I tried connecting my iPod touch to iTunes last Friday to throw a few new songs on for the weekend.

However, after connecting to iTunes, NONE of my songs appeared in my iPod's library at all!!!! Either through iTunes or when the iPod was disconnected.

The memory bar at the bottom shows the same amount of space as being open before this issue arose. Instead of it saying 6.8 gigs of music it lists it as 6.8 gigs of 'other'.

Any suggestions on how/why this happened and how I could possibly correct this?

Please don't tell me I've lost everything!

thats what happens when you connect to a library that isnt yours. the songs are still there, it just doesnt let the computer play them or see what songs they are

Anyone happen to have any more suggestions?

I'm desperately trying to hold out hope in thinking there is a way to save my library without deleting everything and starting over!

Connect it to a program that can access the iPod's filesystem via USB (iphonetunnelsuite for Windows, DiskAid for Mac, etc.).

You can then make a folder on your PC and copy all of the songs to it. Even though the songs will all have weird names (and will be in folders with weird names), once you drag them all into iTunes, the information about the songs will be restored.
