Same old, same old for the iPad.

The new iMacs are another story.

New iMacs are very impressive, and the 13 inch MBP ain't to shabby either and suprise with the upgrade of the iPad. But in terms of the iPad Mini, it was what i expected.

    But Apple,

I found I was wrong about the existence of an iPad mini. As far as the Mac updates, I suspected they'd do a 13 Pro w/ Retina. But, I was caught off-guard by iMac. (Incidentally, I am frustrated by Apple's decision that people don't use a built-in optical drive anymore; I use my optical drive every day with no exaggeration, majoring in software development in college.)

Im confused why the ipad mini isnt retina? Im 100% certain they will update it to be retina in upcomoing models, but why not now when all other apple products are now retina?

Its all downloads now in my experience and you can always buy an external disk drive if you really need it. When you realise the extra thinness and the lightness that can be achieved by removing the optical drive then you will see why Apple have removed them.
