I used the 24kpwn exploit (automated with quickfreedom)

And now my accelerometer rarely works. It will come on for a few seconds, and then stop. So I restored to non-jailbroken firmware. Good news! Accelerometer worked like a charm. So I re-jailbroke. Bam! It stopped working again!!

I already posted a thread on this, but didn't help much. I decided that rather than revive it, I would make a better thread with more specifics.

Please help me! My accelerometer is a big part in my iPod usage. My 6 year old bro LOVES cro-mag rally, and has been kinda disappointed lately. I miss using landscape mode, and labyrinth.

Programs that accelerometer does not work with.

    -Labyrinth

    -3d marble game

    -Cro-mag rally

    -Calculator

    -Music player

    -Safari

-The accelerometer meter thing from cydia

    -Other various apps

I find that sometimes using music player, or safari for a long time will temporarily revive the accelerometer.

Restore it to apples firmware and then check if it works

    He already did that.

Try re-making your firmware, maybe it has an error.

No kidding?????? I already remade a firmware, and it didn't work, but I kept installer. Is installer REALLY keeping my accelerometer from working?

use redtool to make your firmware, see if it helps.

all you have to do to remove installer if you got it with the jailbrake, is add it from cydia. it will overwrite the current installer and then you can use cydelete to remove it.
