Im following the directions from here.

    ...get into DFU mode:
    1. Make sure the iPod is off and plugged in.
    2. Hold the power button for three seconds.
    3. Hold the home and power button for ten seconds.
    4. Release the power button and hold home until your device is recognized in iTunes.

Thing is, I keep seeing the apple logo. -_-"

Anyone wanna help? Am I holding the power for too long?

    Ah so it's like this

Make sure it is plugged in
    1.Hold power for 3 seconds
2.Hold home and power for 10 seconds
3.Release power and hold home until it is recognized by whatever you are doing(usually about 10-15 seconds, but can be up to 30)
The screen should stay black and iTunes should say it has detected a device in recovery mode.

id follow the sequence used in GREENPOISON. that's how i got to DFU mode. but before i was able to successfully do this, i had to have my itouch 3g from apple because the home button got broke after several attempts to get the device to go on DFU mode.
