Dfu without power button on Mac

    iPhone 3GS (Black)
    So i have a iPhone 3GS and its on 5.0.1 and the power button is broken. I was unfortunately forced to restore today. And now i cannot rejailbreak because i cant get into dfu mode with a broken power button. I have a mac if that changes anything but can someone please help me.

    Why not restore to 5.1.1 and jailbreak with absinthe without going into DFU mode?
