DFU - Timing Top Tip (Windows)

    use the built in windows clock to time the DFU button presses, this will eliminate the guess work

    Apologies if this was posted elsewhere , but just spent most of the day trying to get DFU to work , just had to share it!

    Alternatively, if you have your sound up and add/remove device sounds enabled, you can do this:
    Hold Home+Sleep, wait for device remove sound, release Sleep, wait for device add sound, release Home.

    Yeah, I just use the Window sounds.

    no, here is the easiest way to get into DFU mode.... turn off ur ipod, and have it unplugged. then, hold the home button for about 5 seconds, and plug in your ipod while still holding down the home button. no timing required. windows should recognize ur ipod as being in DFU mode and ur good!

    or u could put a flash drive with a led and hold the home sleep button when it flashes keep holding for 5-10 sec then u should be in dfu thats what ive been doing

    but what if for some reason you can't listen for the sounds ? like me at work
