So, anyways, i tried "pwning" the new FW App Store Firmware a couple months ago (Im pretty sure it was 2.1 or something below that, i would need to be back at my computer back at home to be exact with this) But, the iPod Touch will not turn on, at all. I can't boot it back into Normal Mode or Recovery Mode with ZiPhone and/or Manual Restore Mode (The Home button held down while connecting USB). The iPod will only boot into DFU mode, and yet only half the time iTunes 8 will recognize it. I get error 1600 most of the time, and i try shift+restoring with FW 1.1.4.

So, to summarize the predicament i am in, the iPod will only boot into DFU mode.

    Any ideas?

EDIT: Already tried restoring with a past Version of iTunes, 7.7 to exact. Didnt work.

    iTunes 8.x doesn't support 1.x firmware.

You need to restore to 2.x.

I uninstalled iTunes 8 and tried restoring with 7.7.
    Still get 1600.
