DFU Mode

    Any software out there like the old ziphone that could remotly trigger DFU mode?
    I'm having problems with my home button..

    Nope. You have to do it yourself.

    ooooooooh....
    the old broken home button problem. sorry no program that i know of. i had a 1g with a bad button and i just use the eraser of a pencil to push REALLY hard on the home button. then i sent it into apple and they sent me a new one.

    Well.. I dont know if its the home button, I had some problems with it before I updated to 3.0. Now I can quit apps and so on but the DFU mode trick does not work..

    You're not doing DFU Mode right, then. If you can quit apps then your home button is fine.

    Ok, then im doing somthing wrong... But what? I hold the power button for 3 sec, power + home 10sec, release power...?

    You don't hold power for 3 seconds.

    Just hold power and home for 10 seconds, then release power button and hold home until your iPod gets recognized.

    I tried, but the ipod just booted up normally and started to sync with itunes

    This is an easier way to dfu: turn your iPod or phone completely off, plug the USB cable in, when you hear the sound that an USB device was recognized hold home and power until you hear a disconnect ding/beep then let go of power and hold home then a ding should sound that USB has been recognized and let go of home
