dfu mode wont work???help please????

    okay so i jailbroke my friends ipod and gave it to him everything was ok but when he plugged it in to his computer he hit restore on itunes and it just shut off the ipod now it wont turn on or anything i tried to plug it in to my computer and it wont make the connected sounds or anything i tried to put it in dfu mode and it wont work and ive literally tried everything using timers and everything but it just wont go into dfu mode and wont make any disconnect or connected sounds only the malfunctioning bubble pops up but thats it any ideas on how to fix this thanks....

    it says usb device not recognized

    Are you using a 2.0 USB cord?

    try reinstalling itunes, or uninstall the driver and when it goes to reinstall, browse and install the apple driver from itunes

    Make sure...

    Make sure that your timing is correct with going into DFU mode... I have the same problems but I make sure that the timing is right on queve...I might suggest using the 1click reset method... works like a charm ( you dont have to remove itunes that is not the problem)

    FIRST POST!!! (warning I have unlocked over 15 different iPod touch 2g both tethered and semitethered... but I like tethered more.. its like a suprise LOL

    i have ive even used stopwatches and everything even the gui that walks you trought and everything it just doesnt want to go to dfu mode

    Id uninstall and then reinstall itunes

    Use 1 click boot and like everyone else said reinstall itunes. also use this http://smellmysock.com/dfu.html best timer ever. also is the ipod tethered or semi tethered?
