iOS 3.1 DFU Mode not working

    Now I'm not newb with jailbreaking and putting iDevices into DFU mode, but no matter how hard I try, my iPhone won't go into DFU mode. I know exactly how to do it as I've done it over 100 times. It just keeps resetting as I hold home and power.

    I know you said you know how to do it just make sure you are doing it right. Just keep hold of the home button longer than you did.

    Try doing it while it's plugged into a computer. Turn it off, then when it plays the device unplugged sound let go of the lock button and hold only the home button until it's recognised again.

    It's much easier and more accurate than counting
