DFU mode for 2G Touch

    how do you put a 2nd gen touch into DFU mode?

    Same way as the 1G;)
    And trust me, it works, I just did it.

    DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) mode is not the same as restore mode. DFU mode bypasses the current OS installed and allows you to upgrade or downgrade your OS.

    Basically, Its an emergency mode in case something goes wrong with your iPod, its like restore mode, but with more .... control:)

    Well, sooner or later - for jailbreaking.

    And it can be used when recovery mode restores aren't helping.
