This is a pretty simple problem =S
This is what happened to my ipod Touch 2G (jailbreaked)

    - I ran out of battery 1st during schoolhours
    - I came home plugged it
    - It went to DFU ish mode ( USB ---> Itunes)
    - Itunes opens it says " Blablabla ... cannot access ipod without taking off passcode "

-> The problem is ... I cant type my passcode because i cant takeoff this DFU thingy screen? I tried to re"DFU" , Restart Many times ... Nothing

    any help?

Plug it in and hold the home and power buttons at the same time for 15 seconds or until it shuts off. IMMEDIATELY after it shuts off release the power button and continue holding the power button until iTunes opens and tells you it in DFU blah blah blah and that you need to restore.

thats really the easiest way to fix it... i mean. i'm sure that there are other more complicated ways of going about that... but.. i'd just restore/rejailbreak if u were jailbroken.
