    4.2 is i just 2 months away
It would be a waste of exploit to be release a jailbreak for FW 4.1. I think devs should wait until November, when iOS 4.2 will be announced, to release a Jailbreak for all iDevices

Anything sooner than that will be premature and a waste of exploits

    I second this.
    We need to save exploits.

If 4.1 has major speed improvements, i say jailbreak it.

1 all slow devices on iOS 4.0 are jailbreakable forever with redsn0w on 4.1 golden master, except 8GB 2G MC model

2 Even if the update had the feature to cook your dinner, still wouldn't be worth it to just burn exploits like that, when iOS 4.2 is just 2 months away.

Apple might decide not to release it until novaember NEXT YEAR if there are no jailbreakers.

Good point. Most updates are to do with patching exploits and making security better.

The quality of iPhone 4 and ipt4g is already retina, nothing new to add, unless there is like new stock applications or major bug fixes, even with those they may take maybe like up to 3 months just to fix one of them. So no jailbreak means, at least 6 months until a good firmware pops up. So I guess its kind of back to the situation of 3.1.2 and 3.1.3

No, because then the iPad would still be stuck on 3.2.x. Apple would probably like all their devices on the same firmware.
