I am trying to jailbreak my 1st gen 8g tpod itouch and am running into a problem. I downloaded all three programs and after i click out of itunes I open quikpwn. The problem is that quickpwn will not detect my device. I tried different usb ports and restarting the computer with no success. Any help i can get would be great. Thanks. Chris.

Did you try rebooting your iPod. And do you have the latest QuickPwn?

I am using quickpwn 2.2.5-2. Would rebooting my ipod help with the detection?

I believe it would. If not I would try to get a older version of QuickPWN, such as 2.1.

Try restoring your iPod to a fresh 2.2.1. That should do the trick.

    It's not going to hurt.

New update. I finally got the arrow on the device detection screen to turn blue, but when i press it an error pops up saying an "unhandle exception has occured". Anybody know anything about this? Thanks for all your help.
