i believe that only specific developers who constantly help and contribute to this forum (eg. skylar and whoever) should have this developer status for example i do not believe that i deserve this status as i no longer contribute to the forum frquently. I think there should only be at the most 5-7 members with the status.. members who are trusted on the site

The vote looks to be settled evenly between devs on the Yay and mods on the Nay... so naturally it looks like it's a nay unless Bgizzle intervenes... can I close this thread up now then please?

I'd say show this thread to bgizzle see what he says and then after his response close it. :)

    Sooooo... basically close it. :)

I think BGizzle would only say yes if the 'yes' part of the pole won by a landslide.

If this ever gets introduced, it will be based on proving that you've released at least one high-quality app-store application and will include a small non-refundable application processing fee (perhaps $3-5, which will deter people that aren't serious and reimburse us for the time we spend checking your eligibility). We may also create a premium developer membership that will allow certain marketing perks for developers such as links in signatures etc.

All of the above is IF we ever move forward with that plan at all, which is not guaranteed.

Yeah I'm fine paying a application processing fee, now to wait.

BGizzle is basically (in a nutshell) is maybe.

You don't need a status change. You can just make a sig that shows your apps that are in the AppStore.
