    63.3%
  2. Nay

I think that it would be cool if there was something for developers, sort of like the MR Team, where you could be officially recognized as a developer. That would provide a little reassurance to some people when posting on their threads that you do in need know what you're talking about when it comes to that sort of stuff. It could also be good for providing a feeling of legitimacy for people reading your reviews in the Developer Tutorials section. It would help with trust issues for released software on the forums also. They know that harmful software will not come from a developer that is recognized by the forums.

    EDIT: Possible requirements:

    - Registered App Store developer(have to show proof somehow)
    - Have at least one application on App Store, or released to the public iPhone community.
    - Must be approved by a super mod, possibly Skylar since he's(I think) the only moderator who is a developer.

    *OR*

    - Have to create a few really nice tutorials in the 'Developer Tutorials' section, almost exactly like the MR Team.

What requirements would there be? For instance, I do development on Winders for the iPhod... I don't have an Apple dev license (yet, maybe after I get paid on Friday).

I would say that members who are coders already, could look for people with knowledge and put them forward?

On the contrary, I discourage this idea. Anyone can falsify being a developer. And they aren't a REAL part of the site. If you want someone to know you are a dev, put this in your sig:

    I R TEH DEVZOR OF IPHONE APP5

Look at the requirements I listed. Not everyone can just throw up an application to App Store and say they're a developer. That takes commitment, and money.
