    Hi there

A lot of people are disappointed about the 1.1.3 update for iPod Touch.

    Things must be clear now.

    Here is the deal :

The update IS FREE for all of you.
Few bugs are corrected and iTunes.app is updated to work with VOD. Nothing special there.

BUT , even if the iPod Touch is STILL an iPod Touch and not an iPhone, Steve allows now to the users the possibility to get the apps of the iPhone .. if NEEDED only. So, this is an OPTION. You really want it ? So, this is 20$. And then you will get all the iPhone apps (but SMS of course ...). If you don't want it, just don't buy this paying package.

If you buy a new iPod Touch with 1.1.3 included, you will have all for free. For all firsts 1.1.2 customers and under, this will stay as an OPTION and you'll have to pay for it, even if you buy a 1.1.2 today (or wait for a new jailbreak .. )

    So, to summarize :

-- 1.1.3 update is FREE for all --
    It will :
    - fix some bugs
    - update iTune for VOD
    - make a few style update

    - - the extra 20$ package is an OPTION (included for for new buyers) --
    It will:
    - add the iPhone 1.1.3 apps
    - allow lyrics in iTunes
    - allow to modify placement of the icons
    - allow to create WebClips
    - add a new chapter-navigation in movies

-- And YES, it sucks --

-- sorry for those who knew already --

Also, if we do go ahead with the FREE 1.1.3 upgrade, we will lose all of our JB apps! Remember that people! ... right?

You can still downgrade, according to the sticky at this forum that links to TUAW. Downgrade to 1.1.1, OktoPrep and update to 1.1.2, jailbreak, and youre good. Google search the 1.1.2 download file and you'll just have to Manually select the update in iTunes

I bought the software and within 20 minutes of using it I have emailed Apple for a refund.

Apple must think there are no other countries outside of America!!
The 'Worldwide' weather app doesn't recognise cities outside of the US
The iTunes Store Movie Rental option is not available outside of the US

Apple get this straight America is NOT the only f***ing country in the world!!!

The mail app has to be convinced a few times not to use SSL then you see Inbox, I would have liked to been able to name it something so that I could recognise which provider it was.

This should have been free as a thank you for buying Apples hardware and even then they should have spent more time on it and made it International!
