Desperate need of help!!!!

    i have

    Apple Ipod 1st generation 8 gb

    2 years old

    problem

    it is finished and well its hard to explain but i cant restore because in dfu mode the apple logo then the itunes connect thing is dim not like everyone else and it goes out of dfu as i restore so i always get error code 13 and it doesnt show up in my computer and well it doesnt charge it doesnt do anything but i really need it and there must be something i can do plz help it was jailbroken before this happened but i doubt thats the problem....and when im playing with the dfu mode to try and fix it sometimes the screen flickers white.....

    1. what firmware are you on?
    2. have you tried turning it off. Holding the home button while plugging it into the computer?

    um im on 2.2.somthing and i think ive tried everything

    so it does show up in itunes? in restore mode?

    yes it says itunes has detected ipod in restore mode but after it extrcts the software the ipod disappears

    You can always DFU its a hardware thing. Just keep trying. Just google it.

    Like DesperateHousewives said, is it your computer, it could be your usb ports playing up..

    but u wouldent know if it was off it can be hard to tell
    just hold the home and power button for about 10 seconds then it should be turned off after u do this hold it for a few more seconds to make sure
    then turn it on

    no guys its not my computer ive tried plenty of computers i think ive tried everything i just wanna know if its the bvattery because it seems like its to weak to charge or restore but thx anyways i need as much advice as possible

    I've read that you should reboot your computer and just try a regular restore.
