This is a discussion thread for the "DeNA Acquiring Ngmoco" story posted on the front page.
Not something I'm terribly bothered about. All of their games sucked after Rolando and Topple, especially their 'freemium' titles like We Rule.
400 million yen, or U.S. dollars? Cause that's a lot of money for ngmoco. Did Rolando 2 sell anything?
Hope we rule and some of the others go to laptop, witch is becoming more mobile for users!!!
400 Million? Holy ~imagine~
400 million dollars?
Microsoft payed just 375 millions for Rare and the console market is way more profitable
Well, Rare wasn't a VERY big gaming company. They made a few games, yeah, but they were NOT that great.
Anyway, NGMoco is awesome, they rake in about $1000 a day.
I could not care less about social gaming. Tried Godfinger once, bored the hell out of me. These types of games are just a timesink.
I play only a few ngmoco games, I hope they don't ruin them.
Surely they are worth less than $400 million...
Rare made some awesome games back in the N64 Days...
