    Hey guys.

I was kinda bored, so I SSH'ed into my iPoT and looked at the application folder. There was an app called "Demo.app", but I had never seen it on my Springboard. So I looked at the Info.plist, and changed "hidden" to "visible". Now I have an app called "DemoApp" and when I open it it just opens a black screen.

What is this?? A secret Apple application??

It lets you loop a video indefinitely. They used it in displays when initially advertising touches and iphones

Uhhhh search for it... you put a video in /var/mobile or something as demo.mp4 and it plays automatically

i got it to work. you click on the app, or just restart, and it played the OS X "Welcome" thingy. its pretty neat.

    Instructions!

    ok. heres how!

    NOTE: This is for 1.1.4.

NOTE 2: I have included both the video and my version of DemoApp.app, which is set to be visible on your springboard.

Before you start: Unzip the zipped folder. It included a .mov file and DemoApp.app

1)Put my version of "DemoApp.app" into /Application and overwrite the old one.

    2) Reboot to make sure it works.

    3) Put "Demo.mov" into /private/var/mobile

    4) Reboot again!

    5) When your iPoT starts, you will see the Springboard for a second, and then the app will open. It should start playing the Mac OS X "Welcome" video.

    6) To exit, just hit the home button.

NOTE 3: The video will start when ever you restart, respring, or click DemoApp.

This app actually plays the video in portrait mode! Its AMAZING!!

NOTE 4: You can use any video. Just make sure its called Demo.mov.
