I'm not sure if I've got a fault or if it's a feature. When I delete a video sometimes after I restart the iPod it reappears in the list but can't be played back, coming up with an error. It seems pot luck as to whether a file re-appears or not.

Also not all videos save their last viewed position and pick random points to restart.

Is there a battery back up that stores all this kind of info?

There is an option in the video settings where you can chose whether you want to start your videos where they left off or not.

and maybe you just bumped the video seek button before you went away from the video that created those "random starting points"

otherwise, I havent had any problems with ghost videos showing up after deleting them. Could just be a random bug, probably will be fixed in later updates if it is a problem in many other touch's.
