Deleting itunes.app

    I have searched on here and google but found nothing.

    I want to know if you can delete the itunes.app on the iPod touch.

    Is this possible, as i wont be using it.

    I assume by deleting the folder will result to itunes being removed from your springboard... What I mean is deleting the MobileStore.app folder... I would recomend you back it up on your computer though... It might cause problems to your iPod...

    Never tried it before...

    Thx for the quick reply, at your solution. i think i will wait to see if someone else has done it before i try it, and see what there outcome is.

    Why don't you use Customize to hide the application or move its icon elsewhere instead? At least it leaves you with the option of using iTunes later.

    I agree with hiding the icons as I utilize it... Hide everything but the iPhone apps I installed...

    And one more thing with deleting it, there might be some processes on the device that'll seek some of those files... It might make the device inoperable. Better leave it mate... It doesn't occupy lots of space anyway.

    Yuo could hide it with Customize, or you could make it physically unusable (see screenshot), which is a much better option, as it can't even be launched by Dock or a Launcher. Simply double tap the empty space to make it appear and be usable again.
