Did you try restarting your ipod. Completely shutting it down by holding the sleep button until it lets you slide to shut down and then restarting?

connect to your ipod using a ftp client and delete it that way. Finder doesnt know how to delete files, it can only send them to the trash

The files have been deleted by finder.
The list in the text editor is just a list of the most recently accessed files. You can try to open such a file which has been deleted. The content of it should be empty.

    Hey szurinaga,
I'm a little slow when it comes to manipulating the itouch. I have an FTP application on my PC but how exactly do I connect it to the pod to delete those (recently viewed) files in the TextEditor?

    Thanks much!!

MobileFinder does delete them, so theres no point to deleting the Recently Viewed ones!

I have found that when you delete in finder, it moves the deleted file to the trash. You then need to open the trash, highlight the file again, delete again, and then it is gone. Hope that helps.
