Deleted everything from iFile! Help?!?!?

    Ok my brother decided to be "funny" and delete EVERYTHING from iFile! now it won't even turn on! I tried calling Apple but they said they couldn't do anything about it! ANY help is greatly appreciated!

    you deleted everything?? like everything?? thats bad, I'm guessing it doesn't recognize in itunes?

    iTunes doesn't recognize it! I can't even get it to do anything!

    Wow, never heard of anything like this. So your iPod is literally wiped, clean? No OS at all?

    I have heard of, but never tried, that people can 'hardwipe' ,ie delete everything and then somehow get the ipod working again. if you can't even put it into dfu then it is a problem but search up hardwipe or something, and u may get lucky

    If iTunes doesn't recognize it, it's not in DFU - make sure the screen STAYS black when you plug it into iTunes instead of going into recovery mode.

    Make sure you do DFU correctly then. If iTunes doesn't recognize it, then you are not correctly doing it.
    Yes. Just delete /.

    Thanks to the Apple engineers though, they added DFU in the form of it's own chip, making it hardware and not software that forces restores upon the iDevices.
