[How-to]Simple Guide to downgrading ios4 MC 8gb model.

    Meet these requirements first!

iTunes 9.2Stress on the 9.2 bit

iPod Touch MC model, you can check in settings>general>about

3.1.2 or 3.1.3 firmware, I would not want to disclose links as you should have them.

    A computer

    Ability to Panic

1.Start up iTunes 9.2 and plug your precious iPod Touch in.

2.Command+restore or Shift+restore on the ipod Menu

3.Search for your firmware and open it up

    4. It should load for a bit and then your ipod should have a restore sign

    5. It should load up and be back to the custom firmware.

    6. Go find iTunes 9.1.1 and download that and jailbreak if you wish, you need that itunes if you want to sync anything.

    7. Have fun.

Dont you have to put in DFU mode first? Connecting it to the computer, turning it off, holding both power and home buttons for 10 seconds or so, then only hold the home button until the pc recognises the USB device? Or not, good instructions anyhow

    Nope.
    8GB MC's are simple.
    Just shift+restore should do it.

I kinda missed responses but jacobvengeance is right it IS that simple.

Thank for saving my ass. Anyway you do not need dfu mode for mc nor do you need shsh blobs for 3.0 to 3.1.3

For 8GB only, I might add. 32 and 64 still need them.

Next to the quote button there should be an "Edit" button.

Also, 39 more posts for me to 1870. I think I've got you beat a little bit there.
