I bought my computer as a bottom of the line last year... aka it sucks hardcore.

its an AMD Athalon 64 X2 Dual Core 3600+ 1.9 Ghz. (32 bit OS)

    1GB RAM

    160GB hard drive

and.. if you thought 1GB was low, my gfx is nvidia 6150e graphics (built in, shared memory) soo my real RAM is about 893.

    sad day.

my question is should i spend money giving this some upgrading or sell it and get a whole new thing?

I wanna say getting a graphics card would benefit most, because it would put less of a load to the cpu and ram while actually giving this comp some graphics.

should i spend a good 150$ on a card, eventually throw in some ram, or would it not really be worth it?

my goals are to eventually be able to play COD4 on my 1440x900.
and right now it lags bad trying to use cs3 ps.

Go ahead an get something new. It will be cheaper in the long run, and you'll be more up-to-date with hardware.

sell it. you might be able to get aroundd $300-400, the hardware is pretty much up to date, you just need RAM. i guess if you wanted a faster processor and have the cash laying around, update it. you can get a beast for around $700
