Any thoughts on this? I'm in an area that has pretty crappy Edge and I've yet to get 3G. The main reasons are storage.

data runs on EDGE, not 3G. Apple is fooling us all. 3G would be the calling, texting, etc... but then again, both EDGE and 3G do calling, texting.

    i'd get a 16 gig 3G if i were you.

Thats really not available to me or I would have. I'm in BFE so just getting an iPhone took an act of Congress.

i would stick with your 3g... the older versions just arent as attractive lol. Plus the 3g has alot of minor fixes that (in my opinion) make it a better iphone. id say only downgrade if you absolutely need that 8 gigs extra.

Says who? I happen to like the look of the 2G over the 3G. And I don't have to worry about cracks in my plastic backing. Mine's metal

I made the trade. It's on it's way. I'm more concerned with storage since I dont call on it much and 3G is probably years away here. Plus I like the look of the older one better than the 3G.
